You may pick up packets for friends or family. We ask that if you are picking up a packet for someone else you bring a confirmation of their entry (screenshots are acceptable).
HOW COURSES ARE MARKED
Each of our courses are marked with the safety and understanding of each runner in mind. We mark our trail races with orange flagging. It is marked on the right hand side of the course. In areas with orange flags on both sides, this indicates two way traffic. Please remember that we want to practice “Leave no trace.” We do not use spray paint or any permanent markers. We do make the courses as clear as possible while keeping the integrity of the trail intact.
RELATIONSHIP WITH ALABAMA STATE PARKS & LAND TRUST OF NORTH ALABAMA
As proud partners with the Alabama State Park System and The Land Trust of North Alabama our races support these organizations. If you are interested in donating to the Land Trust of North Alabama, click here.
WEATHER POLICY
A little bit of mud means twice the fun in trail racing. If it is raining, our events will still go on. If the rain is heavy enough were it could endanger runners or the land we are graciously being allowed to use, we will delay the start or cancel the event. In cases of lightning, the event will be delayed or cancelled. Unfortunately, we cannot predict mother nature. For insurance and planning purposes we will never postpone events to another day.
HEADPHONE POLICY
While we do allow headphones at our races, we highly discourage the use of them. It is your responsibility to stay aware and pay attention during our events. We ask that your music doesn’t disturb other runners and that you can still hear other runners coming by you.
PET POLICY
We love pets! Unfortunately some of the places we race, do not allow dogs in running events for safety purposes. In addition, to keep our events USATF certified we do not allow leashed or unleashed animals racing. We also ask that you respect the individual rules of each park. Please keep dogs leashed even when spectating our events. We love your dogs, but we cannot ensure that everyone else will.
REFUND & BIB TRANSFER POLICY
We do not allow transfers, family transfers, deferrals or refunds for our events. For the safety and liability purposes we ask that you do not run let anyone run under your name. All runners must be registered for the event under their own name.
We do not mail shirts or medals to participants unable to make the event as left over shirts are donated.
EVENT DISTANCE TRANSFERS
Some of our events have multiple distances. Changing from the shorter to the longer distance is only permissible if spots are still available. No refunds will be issued for this type of charge. If moving to the longer distance the price difference between the two distances will be applied.
CUTOFFS & TIME LIMITS
We love putting on events, and we love having first time competitors and athletes of all speeds at our races. However, to keep the integrity, timeliness and safety of the event alive, we do enforce very generous cutoffs. We ask that if you are not able to meet required paces that you choose the shorter distance options that we provide.
